According to Burson-Marsteller’s 2017 "Twiplomacy study", Dubai ruler, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed, is the most-followed Arab leader on Twitter. 

On the Arab world's top 10 list of leaders with most following on Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed, who has 7.9 million followers came in first, ahead of both Queen Rania of Jordan (6.6 million) and King Salman of Saudi Arabia (6.23 Million) who came in second and third.

Released on Wednesday, the annual report revealed the world leaders who have most following and impact on social media platforms, including Twitter.

According to the report, Twitter was found to be the most popular among world officials and governments. 

Sheikh Mohammed not only made it to the regional list but is also the only Arab leader to make it on the top 10 list of the world's most followed leaders on the social media platform, ranked 9.

Twiplomacy's regional list of most followed leaders in the Arab world also featured UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who came in 4th (3.94 million), followed by Egypt's Abdel Fatah El Sisi who came in 5th (1.45 million). 

Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan came in 6th with 1.3 million Twitter followers. 

Lebanon's current Prime Minister, Saad El Hariri, also made it to the list ranking  9th with a little over 1 million followers.
