With a little over a week left before the beginning of this year's Eid al Fitr, many Muslims around the world have already begun shopping for new clothes to celebrate the joyous occasion.
Saudis are no exception, but aside from going shopping, they have taken to Twitter with the hashtag شنو_بتلبس_بلعيد# - which translates to: "What are you going to wear for Eid?" - to ask for fashion advice.
The hashtag's trending of course and many tweets are just hilarious.
Here's why:
1. Let's start with the basics!
-What are you wearing for Eid?
-Simple! Sirwal (underwear) and fanella (flannel)!
Yes, underwear is everything! :P
2. Leesh la?!
Imagine if this actually happens :D LOL
3. The young ones take the Kashkha to another level!
Bless them <3
4. Matching outfits is some serious business!
Especially for the boy's fanella and sirwal!! :P
5. Boys Vs Girls before Eid just takes the cake!
6. Time for that haircut, boys!
Of course, 'na3eemans' are in order!
7. Whatever happens, don't let your mother dress you!
Ever!!!
8. We've all experienced this: the moment when your favorite dress just doesn't fit!
Especially if you binge on luqaimat after iftar.
Thank God we have our siblings to help us out!
9. Some even think pre-Eid weight gain is a conspiracy of some kind!
"After trying out an outfit tonight, I am sure that the atmosphere in Saudi Arabia makes you gain weight - not the food."
10. And if someone makes fun of your pre-Eid kersh (belly)
-Older mean brother : "Look at your kersh!"
-Younger cutie: "Is it your belly?"
-Older mean brother: "No"
-Younger cutie: "Then get lost!"
Sa7 Lesanak! :D LOL
11. Oh last but never least, forget about the Eideya! :P
No flous (money), habibi!
Have a great Eid everyone! <3
