You probably know him as Abu Sin (a reference to his single big tooth) and you've probably seen or at least heard of his outrageous YouNow videos.
The Saudi teen has been arrested for "unethical behavior" following a series of public video chats with an American vlogger, Christina Crockett. He faces up to three years in prison.
He first shared the videos on the live streaming site YouNow, and they have since been uploaded to Youtube.
The videos garnered thousands of views, and Saudi authorities were not amused. Abu Sin was live streaming at the time of the arrest, capturing the entire scene on video . It has more than 200,000 views already.
"The two of them [Abu Sin and Christina] composed enticing videos which received thousands of followers and viewers from all over the world within a short period of time. Most of the viewers were from the Arab world. Abu Sin […] became famous and received negative attention," a Riyadh police spokeperson said in a statement .
A Saudi lawyer told a local Saudi newspaper the videos "breach the country’s interpretation of Sharia law and internet regulations, meaning Abu Sin could face up to three years in prison," according to The Independent .
In one of the videos, Abu Sin swears that he is 20-years-old, though he looks much younger. Authorities said he is 19-years-old.
Now, Abu Sin has a bigger audience than ever.
