Even though people keep reminding themselves that humanity isn't dead yet, most are still amazed when a kind gesture takes place.
Yes, while many videos go viral in the Arab region for being bizarre or gobsmacking, acts of kindness still capture hearts. And one Saudi student did just that earlier this week.
A video of a student carrying his blind friend on his back while playing football so that he doesn't feel left out broke the kingdom's Twitter recently.
According to Twasul news site, both students attend a primary school located in the west of Ha'il governorate.
The endearing gesture had many in tears as it made the rounds on Saudi Twitter, winning over people's hearts.
Many were awed by the footage
"No words can describe this clip."
"Children's innocence and the beauty of friendship; he wants to share the fun with his friend"
"I swear this video made me cry"
"Ya zeinhom"
"Words of gratitude aren't enough"
"This is the definition of humanity"
"He deserves to be honored"
"These are the real heroes"
"Not randomly anyone who says something stupid is made a hero. This kid and his likes are the ones who deserve to be honored."
Not everyone hailed the video, though
"We no longer know if someone's doing good for religion or for the camera."
Some had words of criticism for it
"He could've held his hand, it's better than carrying him around."
