On Tuesday, a Saudi preacher named Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al-Tuwaijri was shot dead in a Guinean village, Al Arabiya reported.
The preacher was on a missionary trip to the country and was killed after one of his religious sermons was said to have angered villagers in Kantebalandougou, a small town located in the east of Guinea.
In their statement on the matter, local security sources said Al-Tuwajiri was "shot twice in the chest while riding a motorcycle with a villager on the way to get his car."
A Guinean medical source said the preacher died at the scene, while his companion was seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Kankan, one of the country's largest cities.
