A massive sandstorm has hit Jeddah once again this week ... and it's also extremely hot.

With temperatures hovering around 40 degrees, high humidity, and swirling sand everywhere, life in this region of Saudi Arabia has come to a standstill. The streets in almost all parts of the city have been deserted, according to the Saudi Gazette.

Schools, other educational facilities and many businesses have shut their doors as the adverse weather conditions persist.

Many in the kingdom have posted their frustration on social media

It's "damn hot"

And it's affecting health

According to authorities, no deaths have been reported.

The weather was a bitter welcome back for some

Going outside isn't really an option

But maybe if you have a face mask?

But hey, there's always a bright side ... even in the midst of the storm
