Real Madrid pledges 1 million euros for Syrian refugees

The Spanish football club has also pledged to help refugees coming to Europe due to a catastrophic migrant crisis that saw more than 2,000 die at sea.

Following in the footsteps of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid will donate 1 million euros in aid to refugees fleeing war-torn Syria, according to Goal.com .

In a statement published on its official website, the club reiterated "its commitment to charity" and pledged to help Syrian refugees arriving in Spain. While it isn't clear what kind of initiatives the club has in plan, it hinted that it was working on a series of measures "with a special focus placed on the youngest refugees."

The club's president Florentino Pérez was in talks with the Spanish president Mariano Rajoy to make some of Real Madrid's "infrastructure and sports goods" available to incoming refugees through the government's executive interministerial commission, which handles the influx of refugees into the country.

How often should you check-in 'downstairs?'

In the Middle East and North Africa sexual health and STDs are often not addressed due to cultural sensitivities.

If you are sexually active, it is imperative to visit your doctor regularly for a sexual check-up. In the region, it is often not addressed due to cultural sensitivities and many in these communities feel ashamed to visit a doctor to check for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

During these check-ups, the doctor will ask you about your sexual history, and often these questions may seem personal. However, it is important to answer truthfully so that a diagnosis is made possible.

After this an examination of the reproductive organs is conducted where the doctor can inspect the areas for any abnormalities. These tests differ between men and women, and the examinations can sometimes be slightly painful or uncomfortable for both genders.

While this may seem like an invasive procedure, the doctor will be able to identify any issues, and if needed suggest specific tests to rule out any possibilities.

It is necessary that once an individual is sexually active to seek medical attention throughout different intervals to prevent STDs and STIs, most of which can be treated painlessly, from deteriorating and affecting a patient’s overall health.
