Lucy Boynton and Rami Malek have been dating for a while now, having confirmed their relationship status back in January. The Bohemian Rhapsody co-stars have been spotted together in public several times, but it wasn't until recently that Boynton opened up about how she feels about fans approaching Malek in public.
Turns out, Boynton is not a fan of Malek's "grabby" fans. In an interview with Porter magazine, the 25-year-old actress revealed her jealous side (probably unintentionally). When talking about how she and Malek spend time together between New York and London whenever their schedules allow, she admitted to not being OK with the "selfie requests" Malek gets when they're out together.
"It's lovely to see people who are excited about his work—if they've seen Mr. Robot or Freddie—but it's just that thing of people grabbing him."
She further explained that it's just odd to see a complete stranger grabbing Malek in the street.
"I mean, you'd never grab a complete stranger in the street. And I think there's a sense of ownership. It's OK to just come up to someone, with your camera already out, and disregard whoever they're with," she said.
She then went on to share that such a thing happened once when the couple was out with Boynton's mother.
"We were just shoved out of the way. It's quite shocking," the actress said.
But, jealous vibes weren't the only sentiments Boynton showed during the interview. She didn't hide her love for Malek all throughout the interview. She talked about how she draws inspiration from him and highlighted her love for the way he completely involves himself in the acting process.
"I'd never really seen that in a lead actor before, being involved in every corner," she told the publication.
"I've tried to do that, being more aware. I think I've become more opinionated and I've got a better vocabulary, in terms of understanding a project, and my own tastes."
Boynton didn't shy away from expressing herself in the recent interview, and Malek hasn't shied away from doing just the same in the past. Just days after their relationship was confirmed, Malek went all out about Boynton, whom he called "extraordinary."
"She's such a wildly talented human being and an inspiration," Malek said in an interview back in January. He passionately kissed her after the announcement of his Oscar victory and thanked her during his acceptance speech at another award ceremony this year.
"Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much," he said during his acceptance speech at the 30th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards.
