On Tuesday, a huge dust storm reportedly swept across the Gulf region, covering mainly the nations of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia as well as the UAE.
Given its severity, worried residents of the Saudi capital Riyadh and various cities in Kuwait took to social media to vent and post their apocalyptic surroundings.
The result? Pretty terrifying photos and videos capturing an ongoing sandstorm of epic proportions.
A dust storm like no other...
It severely affected visibility across Riyadh
And even spread to Kuwait...
Where it was no less severe...
Now known as the mother of all dust storms...
The skies turned yellow
And many were left worried
For good reason...
People were outraged that schools didn't suspend classes
Forcing people to head out into the storm...
But not without their masks...
Teachers handed out masks to their students...
The same was reported in the UAE too...
The storm continues...
According to meteorologists, the dust storm is set to continue on Thursday and will be accompanied by thunderstorms and rain that will affect several governorates across the kingdom.
On Wednesday, rainfall already started affecting parts of Saudi Arabia.
Similar weather conditions are also expected in Kuwait until Saturday.
And so does the social media meltdown...
"We're going to die in a bit."
