Ed Sheeran performing live almost always comes with record-breaking ticket sales ...  and Dubai is no exception.

Last week, 117Live announced that the 'Shape of You' star will be taking the stage in Dubai this November ... and on Tuesday pre-sale tickets finally went live.

As expected, people rushed to buy their tickets on the Dubai Calendar app (one of the concert's authorized ticket sellers) ... but the extremely high demand caused the app to crash, multiple times.

But, that wasn't it ... the tickets sold out pretty quickly in what is now considered a record-breaker, according to Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live.

"In my 17 years of staging shows here in the Middle East I have never seen such a fantastic pre-registration result for any show nor the unprecedented pre-sale numbers we have experienced today," said Ovesen, according to Pop Sugar.

"This has got to be the most in demand Dubai concert ever and it is all because of the fantastic artist and performer that is Ed Sheeran!"

Good news for those who didn't get a chance to catch the pre-sale tickets, additional tickets will go on sale this Thursday.

Tickets will be available through 117Live's authorized sellers including Dubai Calendar, Platinum List and Virgin Tickets.

In a tweet, 117Live advised ticket buyers to avoid "unauthorized ticket sellers," as there is no guarantee the tickets are legitimate for use at the venue.

People couldn't help but take their comments to Twitter ...

Disappointment ... cuz demand was just too high

Those who actually got the chance to buy tickets ... endured a lot of pain

Although the app kept crashing ... people persisted cuz #EdSheeran

But, those lucky ticket buyers expressed their excitement ...

And are counting down the days till the concert

And then of course there were the unlucky ones, lamenting their misfortune
