A terror attack in New York City left eight dead and more than a dozen injured on Tuesday afternoon.
Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, a 29-year-old male, allegedly carried out the attack, plowing a rental truck nearly a mile down a bike path.
The suspect was shot by police, after he crashed into a bus and left the vehicle, according to NBC News. After surgery, Saipov remains hospitalized but is expected to live.
Saipov immigrated legally to the U.S. from Uzbekistan in 2010. Media reports suggest materials were found in the vehicle connecting the attack to the so-called Islamic State (or Daesh).
U.S. President Donald Trump was quick to tweet out a fiery response
And firmly emphasized his anti-immigration stance
However, many noticed the blaring double standard between Trump's response to the latest attack in comparison to his comments following a recent mass shooting in Las Vegas, which left 59 people dead and some 500 injured.
Although Trump jumped to order policy changes after Tuesday's attack, he had little to say following the attack in Las Vegas, which left far more innocent people dead and injured.
Some couldn't help but ask if this has something to do with the Las Vegas attacker being a white man ... and the New York attacker allegedly being a Muslim.
