Egyptians do not hold back when it comes to music, launching social media campaigns time and again in an attempt to get international bands to perform in the country.

After all, they've been trying to get Coldplay to hold a concert in Egypt for almost a year ... but it seems as though OneRepublic may beat Coldplay to the game, thanks to an avid fan.

Twitter user @Themoonitself_ decided to take the matter into her own hands by tweeting her request directly at the American pop rock band.

"Could you please make a concert in Egypt cause I'm dying to sing with you in the crowd so loud," she wrote.

To her surprise, the band replied with a hopeful message ... which ultimately broke the internet.

It all started with this ...

And then OneRepublic actually replied!

"Oh, this has got to be the GOOD LIFE"

"Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep"

But ... what if "I Lose Myself Tonight?"

If it happens you'll be screaming: "I Lived"

"When you're happy like a fool"

If it becomes a reality ... it would be "Life In Color"

"It's been a long time coming since I've seen your face"

It was only natural to see people from other Arab countries feeling a bit left out

Trying to convince the band that their country is SO CLOSE to Egypt
