It's questions like these that Csquare 's first online show "El Mafrood?" aims to explore. The show doesn't aim to provide the audience with definitive answers but rather to inspire them find their own answers.
"El Mafrood?" to discuss both apparent and hidden problems in society, based on the idea of the social experiment that is conducted on a group of people to reflect their and their society's points of view toward a certain issue.
In its first episode titled "Happiness," the show gathered a group of young Egyptian talents to discuss happiness in Egyptian society. The lineup includes artist Farahzada ElShihy, famous Egyptian prodigy Mahmoud Wael, entrepreneur Kijamii Bassem El Hady and comedian Abdoulrahman Ihab .
The well-produced debut episode combined interesting perspectives from the guests about what makes them happy and what they think makes people in their society happy, humor, philosophy and inspirational messages.
Csquare, the brains behind the production, is an Egyptian media production startup that aims to create contemporary, creative and locally-produced programming for young adults in Egypt and the Middle East that can not only entertain but educate and inspire, all of which were present in "Happiness."
It aims to provide its young target audience with new insights into the different areas of life and how to live them in a better way. In addition, it also aims to revitalize the media space in Egypt and the Middle East with new, young and innovative content.
The company was one of the winners of Injaz Egypt 's 2015 Startup Competition, winning both seed funding and mentor-ship, and will surely have an interesting road of success ahead.
