Prior to the heated football match on Tuesday against Barcelona, it seemed the odds were not in Liverpool's favor. The fact that Mohamed Salah - the team's leading goal scorer - was not playing that night pushed the odds even lower.

But, the English football club came out in full force during the 90-minute game, beating Barcelona with a 4-0 score. The team won the Champions League semi-finals, and will play against either Tottenham or Ajax next for the European title.

Though Salah was ruled out of the match due to a concussion, he stood on the sidelines in support of his team. He even donned a shirt with the words "never give up" written on it.

On Saturday, the 26-year-old Egyptian footballer was stretchered off the pitch during a game against Newcastle. This came after Newcastle's goalkeeper collided with Salah in the final 20 minutes of the game.

"Precaution? No, it's a concussion, which means he is not allowed to play. He feels OK, but it is not good enough from a medical point of view," said Liverpool's coach Jürgen Norbert Klopp, in a statement.

But, Liverpool never gave up, and Salah's motivational t-shirt was more than fitting considering the results.

"We never do, Mo!"

The celebrations were quite intense

"Wonderpool"

"It's the t-shirt"

"On fire wallahy"

Salah: Liverpool's player of the month

The Liverpool forward snatched the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Month for April.

He leads the Premier League goalscoring chart with 22 strikes. He has also scored 26 goals in all matches this season.

Salah is no stranger to such titles. In 2018, the footballer was named the Premier League's Player of the Year, becoming the first Egyptian and second player from Africa to ever win the award.

In June 2017, Salah became the most expensive player in the history of Liverpool F.C. when he transferred from A.S. Roma. Since then, his performances have been making headlines time and time again.
