From Mahershala Ali to Taraji P. Henson, nearly everyone at the 2017 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards had one message or another, encapsulating all from "No wall no ban" to "Love trumps hate."

Actors, we salute you, thank you for your words of solidarity.

1. Ashton Kutcher kicked off the night

Ashton Kutcher was the first to present an award that night, and he didn't mince his words.

He welcomed the actors, the people watching TV ... and the people stuck in airports all over the world.

He said to those who are facing the brunt of the Muslim Ban, "You are part of the fabric of who we are and we love you and we welcome you."

2. Julia, the proud daughter of an immigrant

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, best known for Seinfeld and Veep, poked fun at Trump's inauguration #AlternativeFacts "I look out at the million or even a million and a half people in this room."

Julia then turned to a more serious note, and told her story of her immigrant father who came to America to escape Nazi-occupied France.

She continues and says, "I love [America] & because I love this country, I'm horrified by its blemishes. And this immigration ban is a blemish and is un-american."

3. Mahershala Ali on his conversion to Islam

Mahershala Ali won for Best Supporting Actor in a movie for Moonlight, used his acceptance speech to talk about his mother, an ordained minister, and his conversion to Islam.

He says, "[My mother] didn't do backflips when I called her to tell her I converted 17 years ago. But you put things to the side, and I’m able to see her and she’s able to see me. We love each other. The love has grown, and that stuff is minutiae. It’s not that important.”

4. They came in with a 'Big Bang'

Simon Helberg, who plays Howard Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory, and his wife, Jocelyn Towne, showed up with a clear message to Donald Trump and his ban.

5. The only kind of Orange we like

SAG awards

Orange is the New Black won the SAG Award for best ensemble cast, and Taylor Schilling celebrated the extremely diverse cast, calling out numerous countries that make up the 3-time award-winning cast. It was a not so subtle reminder that diversity always wins.

"It's going to be up to us, and all of you too, to keep telling stories that show: What unites us is stronger than the forces that seek to divide us."

6. Nothing Stranger than the current state of the world

Trust the cast of Stranger Things to say... strange things?

David Harbour delivered a speech peppered with references to events in the first season after saying that they are united in this "horrible, painful, joyous, exciting and mysterious ride that is being alive."

"We will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no home. We will get past the lies. We will hunt monsters. And when we are at a loss amidst the hypocrisy and the casual violence of certain individuals and institutions, we will [...] punch some people in the face when they seek to destroy the weak, the disenfranchised and the marginalized."

It's safe to say we were all as riled up as Winona Ryder when her co-star said these things.

7. What happens when we come together

Taraji P. Henson gave the speech for Best Ensemble Cast in the movie, along with Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe for Hidden Figures. An award-winning movie is what happens when "we put our differences aside, and we come together as a human race -- we win. Love wins every time."
