Project Hope, a Palestinian cultural organization, wants to shed some spotlight on the rich culture of Nablus.

The group plans to inaugurate the first Nablus Cultural Festival with the aid of crowdfunding through Zoomaal . Slated to take place between April 25 and May 2, the festival will feature both local culture and also expose residents to international art.

For one week, the festival will showcase a wide range of arts including visual arts, dance and music. The organizers will bring together more than 50 artists from around the world and throughout Palestine. According to the Zoomaal crowdfunding page, most of the artists are covering their own airfare but Project Hope plans to cover their housing and food.

Supporters of the festival will be thanked with a range of gifts, based on the amount of their contributions. These include special event posters, a video of the festival and an autographed documentary of the event.

With the goal of crowdfunding $10,000, Project Hope is optimistic about the success of the festival saying "this project is already becoming reality. Help us to make it the best possible."
