Dubai International Airport is expecting some heavy duty traffic during the two weekends between June 30 and July 7, as it anticipates some two million passengers.

Prior to Eid al-Fitr, the airport is anticipating more than 900,000 passengers from June 30 to July 3. A similar volume is expected after Eid al-Fitr from July 7 to July 10.

"Nearly a quarter of a million passengers will be passing through our facility every day during the two weekends," Anita Mehra, Senior Vice President of Communications and Reputation at Dubai Airports, said in a statement .

The airport has launched its Hangout@DXB campaign, encouraging passengers to get to the airport early to ensure smooth passenger flow.

"While we are very happy with the ongoing growth in traffic, we want to make sure that our customers can make the most of the wide range of food, spa & relaxation, shopping choices available at DXB, and have a comfortable and memorable start to their vacation,” Mehra added .

Similar to the campaign they launched last year, Hangout@DXB will feature prize giveaways, promotions, musical performances, sports screenings and a lot more!
