Mega Bollywood Night, a show featuring comedian Sunil Pal, dancer Nirmal Tamang, pop star Himal, and headlined by Sunny Leone, has been cancelled by Qatar authorities.
The show had already sold 7,000 tickets and was to be held at the Asian Town Amphitheater. Organizers had received the necessary paperwork for the show from Qatar's Ministry of Culture. However, the fact that Leone is a former porn actress appears to have put a stop to the show.

The Canadian-Indian actress, who was set to headline the show, has appeared in reality TV as well as porn films. Recently, Leone starred in the "erotica horror" film Ragini MMS 2.
Arun Valley Entertainment, the organizers of the show, expressed their disappointment to Doha News . They said that even though they had the permits, they were called into a meeting afterwards and told that Leone will not be allowed to participate in the program. The organizers insisted that there was nothing in the show that would violate any of Qatar's values.
Organizers said that they have decided to cancel the show, and that all ticket holders will receive a refund.
Mega Bollywood Night isn't the first show to be cancelled in Qatar. Less than a month ago, another show by World of Music was scheduled at the amphitheater for Feb. 26, but it was also cancelled for "unforeseen circumstances" and ticket holders also received refunds.
