To mark more than 100 days of the waste crisis, Facebook recycling page Let's Sort reached out to followers to record a 45-second video of them separating garbage in three different bins before nominating friends to do the same.
Launched Saturday, the campaign is expected to last a week, with the hope of people adopting these measures to "sort at the source," and pressure municipalities into taking part in the recycling initiative.
In the videos, participants are required to show the three bins they use to sort their – for plastic, organic, and paper respectively – and contact their local municipalities to adopt similar initiatives.
Individuals as well as celebrities, media figures, and local organizations have shared their videos in solidarity with the challenge.

Lebanon's Garbage Crisis - #YouStink 'Lebanon in a Time of Cholera' is not a book I want to be reading any time soon. Thus, in honour of my nomination by Nadim Abou Samra, here is my pledge to recycle at the source and help keep Lebanon green. #LetsSort #يلا_نفرزhttp://www.lebtivity.com/p/recycling-lebanonhttp://hummusforthought.com/2015/08/01/list-of-recycling-centers-in-lebanon/
