Some people have tried and failed to create statues of legendary Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah, but we bet a Madame Tussauds wax figure will do him justice.
On Friday, the Liverpool forward tweeted out a sneak peek video in which he revealed he's getting his "very own figure" at London's world-famous wax museum later this year.
In the clip, the star can be seen getting all his measurements taken in order for his waxwork to turn out perfect. Salah commented on the news, saying "I am so excited to be working with the artists of Madame Tussauds on my first ever figure."
The museum's general manager, Steve Davies, said the announcement is "sure to be a crowd-pleaser for football lovers around the world."
Salah will become the first Egyptian to be honored with a figure at the museum.
It's no surprise that the museum wants to add a figure of Salah to its impressive list of celebs. After all, he's one of the most successful footballers of his generation.
The award-winning player - who is dubbed as the "Egyptian king" - wows audiences with his performance every time he hits the field.
In 2018, the footballer was officially named the Premier League's Player of the Year. In June 2017, he became the most expensive player in the history of Liverpool F.C. when he transferred from A.S. Roma.
Last year, Salah was featured on Time magazine's Most Influential People list.
Given how popular the football star is, the announcement of an upcoming waxwork figure of him naturally got fans excited.
"Love it"
"Mo truly deserves this nod"
"The pride of Arabs."
"Let's hope it's a bit better than the last effigy"
In 2018, a statue honoring Salah was revealed as part of Egypt's annual World Youth Forum in Sharm Al Sheikh.
Designed by Egyptian sculptor Mai Abdallah, the figure wasn't well received, left fans confused, and inspired quite the hilarious memes. At the time, many heavily criticized the work because they felt it looked absolutely nothing like the football star.
We're all holding up hope that the Madame Tussauds figure will finally give us a good Mo Salah statue.
