Malala Yousafzai was once banned from school in her hometown, shot at, and persecuted for her pro-education stances. In the years that followed her near-death ordeal, she would eventually recover, go on to win a Nobel Peace Prize for her activism and make it to Oxford University ... but that doesn't seem to matter to some people.

Instead, some are unapologetically shaming the Pakistani women's education activist for allegedly wearing skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a bomber jacket whilst walking on university campus, criticizing the 20-year-old for not wearing a shalwar kameez, the traditional dress of Pakistan.

The unverified photo was first shared by a Pakistani Facebook group Siasat.pk on Oct. 14. However, it is not clear whether it is an official photo of Yousafzai.

According to The Independent, the photo was taken in one of Oxford's main shopping areas, Cornmarket Street.

Who would have thought that wearing casual clothes would turn Yousafzai into a target for haters around the world?

First, people began comparing her to Mia Khalifa ... because only porn stars wear jeans?

Some were 100% sure that the photo is not one of Malala... because Malala would never wear jeans?

"That's not Malala"

So-called "preachers" shared their uncalled for disappointment

Shaming Yousafzai for ... dressing comfortably?

Malala's powerful fight for education seems to be the least of people's concerns

Named after Malalai of Maiwand, a famous Pashtun poet and warrior woman from southern Afghanistan, Yousafzai has inspired countless young women around the world.

She has won a Nobel Peace Prize, become a United Nations Messenger of Peace, founded the non-profit Malala Fund, and co-wrote the international bestseller: I Am Malala.

This came after she fled her home country after being shot at by members of the Taliban, a radical Islamic group, in an attempt to murder her for campaigning for girls' right to education.

The trolls were soon trolled ...

Despite the hateful comments surrounding the alleged photo, many people stood in solidarity with Yousafzai. shaming all those who believe it is their duty to tell women how to dress.

Bushra Gohar, a Pakistani politician is among the supporters.

"Our Malala Yousafzai looks great in jeans. Can’t understand why her choice of clothes is a problem for some," Gohar tweeted

In reality, "I doubt she cares what you think of her fashion choices while she's at Oxford"

"Find a new outrage culture"

Others wore skinny jeans in solidarity with the iconic activist

"She is the real future of Pakistan"

"Do you trolls have a life?"
