Lililililish, Nayel Nassar and Jennifer Gates are officially engaged!

The eldest daughter of billionaire businessman Bill Gates announced her engagement through an Instagram post on Jan. 29, with a photo of herself in shock sitting in Nassar's arms in the snow with a diamond ring popping out.

"Nayel Nassar, you are one of a kind. Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions," Gates wrote in the post. "I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over."

Gates wasn't the only one celebrating, obviously. Nassar himself sent out a post, announcing to the world that she said yes. "I'm feeling like the luckiest (and happiest) man in the world right about now. Jenn, you are everything I could have possibly imagined..and so much more. I can't wait to keep growing together through this journey called life, and I simply can’t imagine mine without you anymore," he wrote.

"Love you more than you can possibly imagine, and thank you for making every single day feel like a dream to me. Here's to forever!"

The top comment on the soon-to-be groom's post is that of Gates, of course. "Yep crying again its fine life is perfect rn you're everything to me," she replied.

Though it's literally been a day since they announced their engagement, we're already dreaming of a fairytale wedding in one of Egypt's beautiful locations, one that would be overlooking the Nile. Maybe even a custom made wedding gown by one of our very own talented designers; Rami Kadi or Elie Saab, perhaps?

Who knows, maybe a wedding back in his original homeland really is in the books for Nassar! But also knowing the couple's love for traveling and adventure, the ceremony could take place anywhere they want it to.

The couple has been together since 2016 and share an interest in show jumping

Will Gates get married before officially becoming a doctor? Jennifer graduated from Stanford University in 2018 with a degree in biology and took a gap year to compete in elite equestrian competitions. She is currently in medical school and celebrated her white coat ceremony in September 2019.

One of the many things she has in common with Nassar is that they're both accomplished equestrians. They have reportedly met thanks to their shared love for horseback riding.

Nassar, born in Chicago to Egyptian parents in 1991, grew up in Kuwait before moving to California in 2009. He graduated from Stanford with a degree in Economics in 2013. He's been riding ever since he was five and began jumping at 10; he's been qualified for the FEI World Cup Finals in 2013, 2014, and 2017. On top of it all, he recently successfully secured a spot for Egypt at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the country's first equestrian team appearance in 60 years.

Nassar comes from a well-off family. His parents run an architecture and interior design firm in Kuwait, and he himself attributes a huge part of his success to the opportunities his family brought his way, allowing him to travel all across Europe and undergo top-notch training.
