As you may have heard, the World Health Organization  has classified red meat as "probably" carcinogenic and processed meat as "carcinogenic" to humans. In fact, 34,000 cancer deaths per year worldwide can be attributed to diets high in processed meat. This comes as no surprise considering the processes the meat undergoes to enhance flavor and improve preservation.

Why is this a problem in the Arab world? From shish kebab to soujok, we just have an undying love for meat. But now it's time to re-evaluate our diets. That is not to say you should cut out meat, but consumption in moderation won't harm. Here's to an extreme diet makeover:

Days like this won't happen as often...

So, you have to start convincing yourself it's better for you...

Long before this study came out, your doctor saw it as a problem

Even though there is no love stronger...it's time to let go

Remember this song?

Which means, no more daily Kibbeh doses :(

& Goodbye to those "Kibbeh Thursdays"

And lahme b3ajin Sundays...

Raising your kids with one goal in mind is no longer viable

Long drives to your favorite butcher will only reduce in number

As will your "makanek" consumption

No more late night soujok pizzas...aka HEAVEN!

And HELLO to chicken substitutions...

& new experiments...that almost always won't end up well

If you think reducing your lahme intake will make you less of an Arab, we got your back

Unless you're already not a fan...

*Traitor*

Although, it may feel like the end of the world sometimes...

Don't worry, it's for your own good.

Remember, moderation is key!
