Forbes Magazine recently compiled a list of 25 of the cheapest summer destinations in 2017, and Lebanon is among the top locations.
The community-sourced list penned by Forbes' contributor Laura Begley Bloom, is based on a number of testimonies from travel experts.
Croatia, Barbados, Estonia, and Antigua - to name a few - were also hailed as prime destinations as were their budget-friendly feats.
Lebanon is the only Arab destination to make it to the list. For anyone who still needs a reason to finally plan out a trip to the country ... this may be it!
The founder of Global Adventuress, Patricia Stone, chose Lebanon to be part of Forbes' list.
Stone has traveled to 155 countries ... but it appears Lebanon has stolen her heart.
Why Lebanon?
"Lebanon is a fascinating diverse country in the Middle East — from its turquoise Mediterranean coast to its high, 6,000-foot peaks overlooking the panoramic Qadisha Valley, where you find the oldest Cedar trees in the world," Bloom writes in Forbes after speaking with Stone.
She goes on to recommend some budget-friendly places visitors should most definitely try, including the Old Patriarchs Monastery ($10 per night) or L'Hote Libanais ($80 per night).
Naturally, tourist destinations like Bcharre (the birthplace of Kahlil Gibran), the Roman ruins of Baalbek, Jeita Grotto, Byblos and Harissa were highlighted, as were the Lebanese people.
"The Lebanese people are very hospitable and most everyone speaks English, French and Arabic," Bloom added.
