The Egyptian National Film Festival announced this year's winners and to no surprise, the film "La Mo2akhza," which means "Excuse My French," took home the highest number of awards.

"La Mo2akhza," which was directed by famed director Amr Salama, revolves around a Christian student hiding his religious beliefs from his Muslim teachers and classmates.

The film went home with the Best Production, Best Script, Best Music, and Best Sound Effects awards.

The Egyptian rendition of the Hollywood blocbuster film "Night At the Musuem", which was called "Harb El 3alaemya El Talta," won the Best Make Up award while the Best Actor and Best Actress awards went to Karim Abdel Aziz and Nelly Karim for their performance in " Feel El Azraq ."

Though the films viewed during the festival set high expectations for the upcoming generation, the festival failed to meet expectations due to the fact that a lot of hopeful participants failed to submit their films on time. Nevertheless, the panel, along with film fanatics, remain hopeful that next year, all submission will be done on time.
