A Kuwaiti wife caused quite the stir online earlier this week after she came to the defense of her unfaithful husband in court.
The woman's partner was being tried in a local courthouse after he was arrested for having an illicit relationship with a woman he had recently met.
In a court hearing in the case, his wife stood up and pleaded with the judge, asking him to release her husband and promising that "he won't do it again," Al Qabas newspaper reported.
The woman was also reportedly heard speaking to a lawyer, telling him her only wish was to see her husband back home.
The defendant is set to face a jail sentence or fine, as Kuwait criminalizes sexual relationships outside of marriage.
