The early morning of Oct. 21 was the peak of the Orionid Meteor Shower, where 63 percent of nearby constellations covering the sky. But you can still catch much of this gorgeous astronomical event this weekend.

To get a real clear view of the meteor shower, plan your getaway trip far away from civilization after Oct 22 running through till Nov 7.

If you choose just the right place, you may be lucky enough to see up to 25 shooting stars an hour.

3. Kfardebian

BeirutVersus held an event for the Perseid Meteour Shower back in August, and luckily its back for another event this October in Kfardebian.

Ouyoun el Siman in Kfardebian is probably one of the best destinations if you’re looking for a budget night. All you really need is a sleeping bag and some snacks and you’ll be good to go.

4. Falougha

A great camping and picnic spot that doubles as a secluded area to watch the stars from.

5. Laqlouq

Located at about 1,780 meters above sea level, this picturesque area is where all those adventurers should be heading.

The landscape is not only suitable for camping and late night stargazing, but it's also great for a early morning hike.

6. Qaa el Rim

From this town in the Bekaa valley, you can see the lights of Zahle glimmer below you, as the stars shimmer above. It is a spot unlike the rest in this list because the land here is more arid and the altitude is lower. Still, the Bekaa has a special charm that will surely enchant you in its own way.

7. Qornet Al Sawda

This is the highest point in the entire Levant region. At 3,088 meters high, you will not only watch the stars but feel close to them, too!
