Istanbul's Atatürk international airport was attacked Tuesday evening in a series of bomb explosions and gun shootings, leaving at least 36 people dead and more than 140 people injured, according to The Guardian .

In the past month alone, there have been numerous attacks in multiple countries across the region including Lebanon and Jordan . This was also one of many to hit Turkey in the past year.

As with all acts of terror, Muslims are repeatedly forced to explain that Islam has nothing to do with terror attacks, that the religion is not to be blamed, but rather the extremist groups.

Following the latest Istanbul attack, Twitter users want the world to know that "terror has no religion."
