If Marvel superheroes were Arab

Since no one is going to film our own heroes any time soon, we've decided to rewrite the lives of Marvel's Avengers, because we deserve some excitement in the meantime.

Played by Haaz Sleiman, who could be charming and arrogant, and most importantly, grow the famous RDJ beard.

Anthony is a playboy millionaire with a knack for inventing incredible things, just like his dad, Hamed, before him. After being captured by the Americans to build weapons, he finds himself on the verge of death with a chest full of shrapnel. Thus, Rajol Hadeed was born, and Anthony revealed that he was Rajol Hadeed to everyone in a conference in Dubai. He can be seen frequenting the bars in Beirut, with no responsibilities whatsoever.

Played by Rami Malek, because who else could play a soldier who's full of morals while still being deeply patriotic?

Selim was just a little guy who wanted to make a difference. However, how likely is it that the little guy wins? With a heart of gold and a scientist by his side, Selim went through a life-changing alteration after taking a "batal" serum, and is not-so-little anymore. His heart of gold, however, never changed, and he will always fight for what he deems is right. You can find him constantly fighting with Anthony about what is the right thing to do for the people versus the right thing to do for himself.

Played by Ahmed Ahmed. This one could be a stretch because he's typically a comedian, but I think he could work into being the calm and reserved scientist and a total beast when the situation comes to that.

Bassem is a brilliant scientist who has a unique condition. Under emotional stress, he turns into a monster and has fled from America to try to return to the Arab region, where he can live in peace (because we've got our own problems). He lives a life of serenity and tries to remain as calm as he can, so as to not hurt the people around him. Once provoked, he's not the kind of wahsh you want to be friends with.

Played by Yasmine Al Massri because she is fierce and badass ... The way she's rocking that leather jacket is proof of both. Plus, she's already got the strut down.

Nathalie is a special agent for D.A.R.3.A. and has been following Anthony around ensuring he doesn't mess stuff up ever since his very public announcement. She has a very brief romantic relationship with Bassem, which he runs away from since he hurt his first love and doesn't want to hurt Nathalie. After adding the word "Om" to her title, the boys started treating her like their mother. Just like any good Arab mother, she whips them into shape.

Played by Khaled El Nabawy, probably because of that squint alone. Also, he could play the father figure, wanting to be with his kids ... while also being able to kill without a second thought.

Kareem belongs to the same organization as Nathalie and they've been lifelong friends. After being in the superhero game for too long, he retires to spend time in the day'a with his family. He is often excluded from hunting birds because his aim is too accurate ... and he doesn't leave any for the other guys.

Played by Chris Hemsworth ... well ... because

I mean look at him!

After Thor's father deems him unworthy to rule due to his arrogance, he sends his Magic Hammer to Qatar, where he meets the lovely Jana. After learning some much needed lessons and guidance, he battles with his evil brother, Lou'ay for the throne. After this battle is won, he promises to return to Jana, but hasn't found a way yet.
