If you're like us, you've probably been on the edge of your seat since the announcement was made that Legoland would be coming to Dubai. Although the opening is slated for October, it just can't come soon enough for the kid inside each of us.

However, there is some great news! You can enter the Lego-themed amusement park ahead of the crowds! Here's how ...

Special "First to Play" annual passes for Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park are currently on sale via Legoland's website .

Starting at 765 dirhams ($208), the 12-month pass grants purchasers invitations to special pre-opening park events. For 995 dirhams, you can gain access to not only Legoland Dubai but also the Legoland Water Park.

"The park launch month is October 2016 [date hasn’t been set/revealed yet], but annual pass holders may get to visit the park during the summer school break," Siegfried Boerst, general manager of Legoland Dubai, told Emirates 24|7 . "We will invite families for special pre-opening events and rides to help us put finishing touches on the park."

Considering a one-day pass to Legoland Dubai will be sold for 295 dirhams and a one-day pass to the Legoland Water Park will sell for 240 dirhams, the annual passes offer some serious value, especially for families with children who will definitely be begging their parents to take them every weekend.

From a Lego brick replica of Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa to all the amazing rides, Legoland will definitely be every young person's – and the young at heart's – dream spot in the United Arab Emirates.

There will be some 40 rides and 20 water slides between the two parks. More than 60 million Lego bricks will be used to complete the parks as well as 15,000 Lego models.

"We will still have space for expansion later, but all the promised rides and slides will be ready at launch," Boerst said. "We can’t wait to welcome the first families through our gates."

And we can't wait to enter those gates either! Please excuse us now as we run to book our annual passes ...
