The UAE's most reputed art and culture event will be welcoming famed Chinese classical pianist Lang Lang and France's most famous symphony orchestra, L'Orchestre de Paris, this coming April.
The Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation will be honoring France for the 13th edition of the Abu Dhabi Festival in an attempt to highlight the "strength of bilateral cultural relations" ahead of the Louvre Abu Dhabi's inauguration.
“The Abu Dhabi Festival works in line with the vision of the Abu Dhabi Government, seeking to reaffirm the capital’s global profile as a destination for creativity and a meeting place for the civilizations of the world,” said Hoda Al Khamis-Kanoo, founder of ADMA.
Lang is a celebrated pianist whose charisma and exceptional technique was lauded by The New York Times, which called him the "hottest artist on the classical music planet." He will be opening the festival with a performance at the Emirates Palace Auditorium on April 14. L'Orchestre de Paris will follow, scheduled to perform for April 15 and April 17.
Tickets and the full program for Abu Dhabi Festival 2016 will be released in December.
