On Thursday, Palestinian-American models Gigi and Bella Hadid hit the catwalk during Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and to say they were beautiful is an understatement.

The 2018 show marks the first time the two models hit the show's runway together, according to E News. So, of course it's only natural to see their mother share a heartfelt post in honor of the occasion.

Yolanda Hadid took to Instagram to wish her daughters luck during the show. She shared a photo she had taken 18 years ago of her two daughters dressed as angels.

"Good luck today my sweet angels, it has been such a blessing to watch you make this dream a reality," she wrote in the Instagram caption.

"Your hard work, resilience and dedication to your craft is a blessing to me and I couldn't be more proud of the fact that you will forever be the first sisters in history to walk the VS Fashion Show," she added.

It's no surprise that her daughters got quite emotional after seeing the photo. In an interview with Vogue Australia, Gigi Hadid refers to the photo as a "symbolic moment."

"I love that picture. I think it's so cute. We obviously had no idea at the time that it would be a relevant photo now, but it’s a cute, symbolic moment," she said.

The photo is beyond relevant as the two models hit the catwalk together, among Victoria Secret angels, and rocked it as a pair.

The duo behind the scenes

Gigi Hadid referred to the moment as a "blessing."

"It's honestly insane. Being able to look across of the room like this and see your family is a blessing," the model told E! News behind-the-scenes.

"Not just at the VS show, but all over the world, I feel like I get to have a piece of home with me. It's also great to be the first sisters in the VS show, and you know, that's really an honor for us. Yeah, it's crazy, but that's really fun for us and it's emotional."
