Palestinian-American superstar models Gigi and Bella Hadid recently posed naked in a photo shoot for British Vogue, and the feature has drawn lots of negative feedback online.
However, it is not the fact that the Hadid sisters were fully naked that caused the stir, but rather their awkward pose that many considered as inappropriate.
In a sneak-peek at British Vogue's March 2018 edition, the sisters can be seen in quite an intimate pose, embracing each other with their legs intertwined.
The controversial shot was photographed by American fashion photographer Steven Meisel, who is known for featuring nudity on Vogue covers.
British Vogue shared the image on Instagram, with a caption that read:
"As the fashion industry's most in-demand sisters, we're more familiar seeing @gigihadid and @bellahadid apart than together. However, the sisters unite for the March 2018 issue of #NewVogue..."
Speaking about their relationship as sisters, the Hadid siblings told Vogue they are very protective of each other, which is most likely what the photo was intended to portray.
"She's (Bella) one of the only people I'll get aggressive for," said Gigi, adding that she is proud of her and "would do anything for her."
Still, many fans believe the Hadid's got a tad too close for the Vogue photoshoot, with many deeming their pose as inappropriate.
