Following the Russian plane crash in Sinai's Sharm El Sheikh that killed 224 people, Russian and U.K. authorities have started evacuating all their citizens out of Egypt.

Russia announced on Friday that all flights to and from Egypt were suspended; it has also put a plan in motion which consists of dozens of aircrafts that are on a "special mission" to evacuate its citizens, reported BBC .

The U.K. government preceded the Russians and have evacuated 3,500 tourists from Sharm El Sheikh starting Oct. 31.

The Egyptian government is refusing to recognize that ISIS affiliates are responsible for downing the plane. According to The Guardian, Egyptian authorities "pushed back against international suspicions that the tragedy was an act of terrorism, as intensifying restrictions on air travel threatened to cripple the country’s vital tourism industry."

“We have not dismissed any possibility but there is no hypothesis yet, before the investigations are over and a full report is ready,” said Sameh Shoukry, Egypt's Foreign Minister.

Despite of the terrorist threats in Egypt, many tourists, including 80,000 Russians, have insisted they are staying until their vacation is over.
