Silk scarves do not typically feature on the subject of menswear, but that’s not to say you can’t wear them. I recently came across Annada, a Bahrain-based startup that creates scarves based on beautiful works of local artists, and I was thoroughly impressed with the way they are encouraging art appreciation through fashion with a luxurious yet accessible product, not to mention versatile. I knew I had to wear some of it.

Women have always been the core target market for scarves, especially the delicate silk variety, so there’s a tremendous knowledge base that’s been accumulated on the subject of scarf styling. Ladies can wear them as a top, a couvre-chef, a handle adornment for their Birkins and so on. But how exactly does a man wear a printed scarf? I’ve come up with a few easy ways to incorporate it into your daily outfit without resorting to wearing it as an ascot like a proper douche.
