On Thursday, a Saudi woman became the first-ever to anchor the main news bulletin on the kingdom's national television channel Saudia TV.
Weam Al Dakheel, a Saudi journalist, made history as she presented the news alongside anchor Omar al-Nashwan. This came as the channel launched its new identity, with an aim to present news in a much more innovative way.
The channel will include youth-driven and family-oriented programs that will highlight different movements taking over the kingdom, including Vision 2030, according to CNN Arabic.
