Considering I'm from South Lebanon, I know when someone is from the hood within the first minutes of meeting them. Not always, but most of the time. Not to generalize, but there are certain traits that exist within almost every jnoubi.

Here are 12 signs to look out for to prove someone is from South Lebanon:

1.Using 'ane' instead of 'ana'

2. They're basically not scared of anything

3. Or anyone

4. Always have a directory of people to call in case things go bad

5. The men kinda have the perfect facial hair

6. There's usually someone in the family named Ali or Hussein

7. Instinctively, they know where to get the best la7me from

8. Always proud to have a reputation for raising "real men"

9. Adding "ish" to their entire vocabulary is the only way they know how

10. No matter how much they criticize the Jnoub, they'll always consider it home

11. & even if living in the city, the weekends are dedicated to making it out to "Jnoub"

12. Or otherwise known as "Jnawb"
