On Friday Oct. 30 and Saturday Oct. 31, the worldwide sensation Yanni gave a once in a lifetime experience for Egyptians when he performed by the Pyramids of Giza and at the foot of the Sphinx.

Fulfilling his lifelong dream along with a 45 member orchestra, Yanni mesmerized his Egyptian audience with a spectacular light show, fireworks and sophisticated sounds.

However, it was Yanni's long time friend, NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly, who gave the ultimate surprise when he joined the show via a special video message from the International Space Station.

Needless to say, the video captured the hearts of the audience.

"I wanted to reach out from space and send all of you on earth a very special hello," Commander Kelly said.

"I often fly over the great pyramids, the Nile River and Cairo. I see their glowing lights from this incredible vantage point," he explained, adding that "during daylight, the colors of planet earth breathtaking and without political borders as we see on a map, it appears that we are all part of the same global community. One which radiates peace and hope."

As the commander signed off and the concert continued, the audience was left with a new sense of hope and an epiphany that we're all products of the same planet looking for the same thing.
