The much publicized visit by the Kardashian clan ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide has made quite a splash in Armenia. From fans camped outside Kim Kardashian’s hotel to mobbing the reality TV star and her family at an impromptu lakeside concert her husband Kanye West threw Sunday night, Armenians love America's most-exposed family, the Kardashians.

West, gave a free concert in Yerevan Sunday night, drawing thousands to the city’s Swan Lake. West jumped into the lake during his impromptu show - which was shut down by the authorities quickly.

Kardashian, who is accompanied by her daughter, North, and sister Khloe along with her husband, has met adoring crowds on many of her outings – with some even camped outside her hotel. Sunday, she posed for photos with an elderly fan who had waited for three days for a hug from the Armenian-American star.

The reality TV star’s eight-day trip is aimed at raising awareness of the Armenian genocide, a hundred years after more than a million ethnic Armenians died in Turkey in a series of massacres and forced displacements.

On Sunday, Kardashian visited the genocide museum in Yerevan.

The clan also visited the Kardashian’s ancestral home, Gyumri, outside of Yerevan.

Kardashian was reportedly overwhelmed by the visit to the dilapidated town where her family hailed from before emigrating to the United States.
