The Dogs Network is Egypt's first review-based community hub and directory created solely to benefit dog owners and pet lovers in Cairo. Revolutionizing the digital doggie world, the two female entrepreneurs had this fantastic idea due to their mutual struggle of finding venues that allow dogs in.

Sarah Johdi and Jasmin Hussein are the brains behind The Dogs Network and their aim is to connect dog owners, spread awareness, and provide assistance and needed information about pet care. The Dogs Network also promotes pet adoption and attempts to educate the general public  about the issues of breeding and selling animals by providing statistics and medically based advice.

The idea of this unique startup came to the women after the continuous struggle of owning a dog in Egypt.

"I used to live abroad and as soon as I came back to Cairo, I started having problems with my neighbors and their constant complaints of my dog's barking. I then noticed a huge lack of digital content concerning places that allow dogs in Egypt. Places such as, cafes, hotels, open parks, summer resorts, private clinics and pet-sitting places." Hussein told Wamda .

Sarah was also experiencing the same dilemma and after months of research, the girls found out that the issue was not about the lack of services available, it was instead the lack of information about their availability on the Internet. Shortly afterwards, The Dogs Network came to life, providing dog owners all possible needed information on one website.
