Mohamed Hamaki has a new album out – and the Arab world is going crazy for the Egyptian singer, once again.
The video for the album's top single, "Kanet Henak," is taking over the region with more than 100,000 views on Youtube since it was published Wednesday.
"Kanet Henak" tender lyrics give all those hopeful romantics in the world something to smile about. It's a story of a guy who was very much in love with a girl from distance. Fearful of rejection, he never uttered a word to her about those feelings. However, the story doesn't end there: He took a chance and said hello, eventually learning that his interest is mutual.
Hamaki, who won the "Best Arab Act" in the MTV Music Awards in 2010, has proven to be a force to be reckoned with since his strong come back after being out of the music scene for a while due to multiple minor heart attacks that he suffered in 2011.
