Music videos have a long history of seeking out wacky ideas, over-the-top dance numbers and extravagant spectacles to get as many people to watch them as possible, even if that comes at the cost of looking overly silly.
However, some Arab singers have taken it a bit too far and ended up producing some of the most hilarious 'so bad it's good' videos in the Arab music industry's history. These music videos are so entertainingly ridiculous, they will have you laughing within the first 30 seconds.
1. Halal Aleak - Hesham Abbas and Hamid
With the flying cards and Hisham Abbas throwing his fist into the air in failed attempts to create a new dance move, this music video definitely has the correct amount of cheesy factor.
2. Leih Beydary Keda - Ruby
I'm sure you remember this hit from back in the not so far off days, and I'm sure you thought the word "Ruby" being splattered all over the screen throughout the entire video was just as ridiculous then.
3. Lolaki - Aly Hemeida
I am not sure what they were thinking back then, but I'm pretty sure displaying cards on the screen isn't the best thing to do when making a hit music video.
4. Boos El Wawa - Haifa Wehbe
Even though it's been years since it came out, I think millions of Arabs probably still have no clue what on Earth was going on in this music video.
5. Shofi - Hesham Abbas
You probably didn't think Hesham Abbas could possibly beat the ridiculousness in the "Halal Alaek" music video, but this one will prove you wrong.
6. Baba Fein - Haifa Wehbe
You've probably heard this song way too many times over the radio and just like the lyrics, the video still doesn't make any sense.
7. Daftar Mawaeed - Alaa Abd El Khalek
The computer dolphin animations may not be very high tech but at least Khalek put some colorful joy in the music video.
8 Si Al Sayed - Tamer Hosny ft Snoop Dogg
The sexist lyrics, fake acting and Hosny's famous chest hair make this music video the perfect disaster you just love to hate.
9. El Millionirat - Medhat Saleh
If you ever wondered what Medhat Saleh and Sherif Mounir gallivanting around Egypt in the '90s looked like, this video will not disappoint.
10. Ayza Arees - Marwa
It's one thing to make a bad music video, but this one just topped itself by making a plot more ridiculous than the acting.
