The production company that brought "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" to the UAE will be collaborating with Paramount Pictures on another beloved franchise: Star Trek.

According to The National, Skydance Productions head David Ellisson suggested that Dubai could be the location for an "alien vertical city" that the crew stumbles upon during its five-year mission.

It's still unclear when the Dubai scenes will be shot – sorry Trekkies! – but filming in Vancouver, Canada, has been scheduled to begin in 10 days, according to a Slashfilm interview with Ellison and Skydance COO Dana Goldberg.

"Star Tek Beyond" will be the third film in the reboot of the franchise.

Stars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg will reprise their roles as Uhura, Kirk, Spock, and Scotty, respectively.

The movie is set for a July 2016 release, in time for the 50th anniversary of the original Star Trek TV series.
