Abu Dhabi will be the shooting location for Brad Pitt's new Netflix movie "War Machine", The National reported .
Directed by David Michôd, the film, based on Michael Hastings' "The Operators: The Wild And Terrifying Inside Story Of America’s War In Afghanistan", stars Pitt as a US general.
Abu Dhabi's deserts will serve as a prime location to shoot the Afghanistan scenes, according to the UAE newspaper, and could also stand in for scenes set in Iraq as well.
The filming is scheduled to start this September, and sources close to production told The National that they will be on the look-out for extras.
