Over the years, Emirati singer Ahlam Al Shamsi has sparked controversy numerous times, and her overly confident nature has triggered her fans on more than one occasion.

This time, it's her lack of written French skills that led to a complete meltdown on the internet.

In a tweet sent during the broadcast of the 2018 FIFA World Cup final, the 49-year-old attempted to flaunt her support for France ... by destroying the French language.

"Mbappe, we want another goal please," the singer meant to write. However, it seems as though Shamsi didn't spell check her French before sharing the statement with her 8.95 million followers on Twitter.

It was the "celvoupler" that really got to people

"Is this French, Ahlam?"

"Is this a new word in French?"

"The French language has been raped"

"Notre? Celvoupler? Goal?"

"I choked"

"MY EYES"

Honestly, it's too much shway

"French just resigned"

"Celvoupler ma ba2a tektbé fronsé"

"Celvoupler just stick to Arabic"
