As much as Arabs value the sanctity of marriage and are all for falling in love and finding their other half, it is not a matter everyone likes. Especially not with the constant harassment from our elderly asking us when we will get married and when we are going to have kids.

This week, Egyptian tweeps took to social media to voice their opinion on the matter.

Launching the hashtag #I'mNotGettingMarriedBecause, Egyptians used the popular platform Twitter to list reasons why they don't want to tie the knot.

Take a look at some of the funniest reasons:

To avoid a headache

"I enjoy sleeping in bed alone"

"I don't like buying bread and milk on my way home"

Maybe because you're already married...

"I don't have any money"

"I can't even wake myself up, how am I supposed to do that to a whole family?"

Maybe the reason is too simple

"I'm free to do what I want."

"I haven't found my other half"

Money issues seem to be popular

"I have no money. You're asking illogical questions."

Some tweeted a plot twist

Some have deeper problems than just getting married

"I have a quick temper."

Sarcasm made an appearance, of course

"I don't want anyone to pull the blanket away while I sleep."

Along some unreasonable demands

"I need a million dollars first."

For some, shopping for shabka is the worst part of it all

The Shabka is the Egyptian equivalent of a wedding ring... but the sad part is that most of the time it's far more than just a ring.

Some people are not made for household chores

"I don't like making breakfast."

"I'm too busy for that nonsense"

Different priorities

While some wanted to jump in a pool of wives

"I'll get married alright. I'm going to marry 4 as well."
