Egyptian actress Enterssar has faced a backlash after admitting to watching porn and encouraging others to do the same.
Her comments came during a discussion on a new TV show "Nefsna" airing on Kahera wal Nas.
The program features Enterssar along with Hedi Karam and Shaima Seif. Discussing their opinions on pornography in the first episode caused quite a national controversy. The three celebrities discussed their views on the subject: Should it be a source of education for newlyweds, specifically men?
The premise circulated around the fact that Egyptian society does not provide any sort of sexual education.
Thus, they discussed whether porn could be used as a useful tool for educating men on pleasuring women
Hedi Karam argued that banning Internet pornography will not teach children not to watch porn.
Instead, they may be pushed to further deviant ways to satisfy their urges. She added that societies with a high level of sexual frustration do not have another choice than to engage in "immoral" and "illegal" acts to satisfy their sexual desires and therefore, banning pornography all together may not have been the best move the government could make.
Shaimaa Seif, however, was completely and utterly against the porn industry due to her religious beliefs.
She stated the porn industry goes completely against Islam and Islamic morals. She went on to add that sex will come naturally for a couple and they'll know what to do to sexually satisfy one another. Her stance on the subject left more questions than answers for the viewers who are fighting this "moral dilemma."
Entessar admitted to watching porn and suggested others should also watch it.
Entessar said that many marriages in Egypt end because men and women do not know how to engage in sexual acts and therefore, it is important for them to watch porn in order to get an idea of what to do and how to do it. She added that though porn does not depict real life, it is still a good source that provides an initial understanding of sexual chemistry and satisfaction.
