Client: Why have you left the capital off the beginning of the sentence? And there is no full stop at the end!
Me: Because the document you asked me to copy didn’t have a capital letter or full stops, and you asked me to copy it exactly. I did.
Client: But it was written in a hurry — there was no time for that — it was up to you to copy it and punctuate it.
Me: You told me to copy it exactly .
Client: Yes, but I didn’t mean that.
