So this just happened: An Egyptian Muslim cleric in Kafr El Sheikh named Mahmoud El Moghazi is facing disciplinary charges for changing the words of the Fajr prayers.

Instead of uttering the words "Praying is better than sleeping," the muezzin took it upon himself to say "praying is better than spending time on Facebook."

The country's Religious Affairs Ministry is currently in the process of taking legal action to Moghazi.

During a television interview, Moghazi, who is currently suspended pending investigation, attacked a caller who said that due to altering of the Fajr prayers, many worshipers have gone elsewhere to pray.

Moghazi proceeded to say that the caller was a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer.
