An edible replica of the Dubai Canal was made for those who worked on the original project on the 8th of December.
A massive cake replica of the 24-km long canal was given to the contractors, consultants and members of government departments.
Director General and Chairman of the board of directors of the RTA, Mattar Mohamed Al Tayer was there to cut the cake with the team and congratulate them on the magnificent effort.
According to the National, three main bridges, surrounding building and the pedestrian walkway were all edible parts of the cake.
